Formal meetings are held at set times on set days and have a clear agenda.

Informal meetings are often not arranged in advance and can be unstructured.

Videoconferencing is becoming more popular. Participants connect in using software such as Zoom or Skype. This is often used for informal meetings but more and more formal meetings are including a videoconferencing element.

A one on one meeting involves only two people.it can be an informal discussion or a formal meeting, such as an annual job appraisal.

A business lunch is a meeting over lunch. This is also called a working lunch.

A conference is a large meeting involving a lot of people.

A seminar is a specialist conference to discuss a particular topic.

A webinar is a seminar that is held online.

A brainstorming meeting is held to develop new ideas in a non-threatening environment.

A focusing g8roup is a meeting which focuses on a particular topic.
